Privacy Policy

Decendium runs almost entirely on your device. We don't have a server. We don't have an account system. We don't track you across other apps or services.
The only data that leaves your device is what's required to process subscription purchases, which Apple and RevenueCat handle on our behalf.
What data we collect
Data that stays on your device
- Your habits, goals, sprints, and earned sunlight. Stored locally with Apple's SwiftData framework. Never transmitted off your device by us.
- Your chosen plant species, avatar, backdrops, and preferences. Local only.
- Your display name and avatar selection. Local only.
Data processed by Apple
- In-app purchases. When you buy a Decendium Patron subscription, Apple handles the transaction and provides us with a receipt. Apple's privacy practices apply: apple.com/legal/privacy
- App Store activity (installs, opt-in crash reports). Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Data processed by RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and validate purchases. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous app user ID (a random string generated by the RevenueCat SDK, not linked to your name or email)
- Subscription transaction data forwarded from Apple
- Basic device metadata (iOS version, device model, app version) used to render the right subscription experience
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, habits, goals, or any in-app activity. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
What we don't collect
- Your real name, email address, or phone number
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera
- Advertising data — we don't show ads
- Behavioral data sold or transferred to advertisers or data brokers
- Analytics that profile your behavior across the app
How we use information
The minimal data described above is used only to:
- Provide subscription functionality (validate purchases, manage entitlements)
- Restore your subscription on a new device when you tap Restore Purchases
Data retention
- Local data persists on your device until you delete the app or clear app data.
- Subscription receipt data is retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their respective policies.
Your choices
- Delete your data: delete the Decendium app from your device. All local data is removed.
- Cancel your subscription: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Decendium → Cancel.
- Restore purchases: Decendium → Me tab → About → Restore Purchases.
Children's privacy
Decendium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
